Dr. Richard Fox, Ph.D., was born in 1964 in St. Louis, MO. Richard earned a BS in Computer Science from the University of Missouri Rolla (now Missouri University of Science and Technology) in 1986 and an MS and a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from Ohio State University in 1988 and 1992 respectively. Fox's area of expertise is Artificial Intelligence and in particular Knowledge-based Systems. Upon graduating, he obtained an assistant professor position in computer science at the University of Texas - Pan American.

In 2001, Dr. Fox moved to Cincinnati, OH and is currently a professor of computer science at Northern Kentucky University where he teaches a combination of computer information technology (CIT) and computer science courses. He is an avid sports fan, particularly college basketball and college and pro football, a science fiction fan and heavily into progressive rock music.
