Dr. Andrew F. Russo has over 20 years of teaching experience at the University of Iowa, where he taught neurobiology, molecular biology, human physiology, and cell biology. He has received the Collegiate Teaching Award and is currently the Medical Cell Biology course director as well as the Director of the Biosciences Graduate Program. Dr. Russo belongs to a number of professional organisations, including the American Physiological Society and the Society for Neuroscience. He holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.

Professor Andrew's research interests are in migraine molecular neurobiology. His decision to join the author team for Seeley's Essentials of Human Anatomy and Physiology is the culmination of a lifelong interest in education that began in graduate school. He is ecstatic about the chance to pique students' interest in learning by presenting cutting-edge clinical and scientific advances.

Cinnamon VanPutte

Dr. Cinnamon L. VanPutte has been a biology and human anatomy and physiology instructor for nearly 20 years. She is a full-time faculty member at Southwestern Illinois College and the coordinator for anatomy and physiology courses. Professor
Cinnamon is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society (HAPS).  Texas A&M University awarded her a Ph.D. in zoology with an emphasis in endocrinology. She worked in Dr. Duncan MacKenzie's lab, where she was taught the fundamentals of physiology and the value of critical thinking.

Dr. VanPutte's passion for the field of human anatomy and physiology is exemplified by the critical thinking component of Seeley's Essentials of Human Anatomy & Physiology; she is committed to continuing this tradition of excellence.

Jennifer Regan

Jennifer Regan

Dr. Jennifer L. Regan has taught human anatomy and physiology, introductory biology, and genetics at the university and community college level for over 10 years. She has received the Instructor of the Year Award at both the departmental and college level while teaching at USM. In addition, Dr. Regan has been recognized for her dedication to teaching by student organizations such as the Increasing Minority Access to Graduate Education andAlliance for Graduate Education in Mississippi. Regan has dedicated much of her career to improving lecture and laboratory instruction at her institutions. Critical thinking and lifelong learning are two characteristics Jennifer hopes to instill in her college students. She appreciates the Seeley approach to learning and is excited about contributing to further development of the books. Jennifer received her Ph.D. in biology at the University of Houston, under the direction of Edwin H. Bryant and Lisa M. Meffert. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society. During her free time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband, Hobbie, and 2 sons, Nicholas and Patrick.

Dr. Rod Seeley got a B.S. in Zoology from the Idaho State University and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Zoology from Utah State University. By being very involved in the mechanisms and methods that help college students learn, Dr. Seeley contributes with his writings, teaching expertise, and proven ability to communicate effectively.
