Dr. Jarrad Harford is the Marion B. Ingersoll Professor of Finance at the University of Washington, USA. Prior to Washington, Jarrad taught at the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon. He got his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Rochester. Professor Harford has taught the core undergraduate finance course, Business Finance, for over 19 years, as well as an elective in mergers and acquisitions, and “Finance for Non-financial Executives” in the executive education program.

Jonathan Berk

Dr. Jonathan Berk is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and the A.P. Giannini Professor of Finance at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University.  Before coming to Stanford, Dr. Berk was the Sylvan Coleman Professor of Finance at Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Before getting his Ph.D., Jon worked as an Associate at Goldman Sachs.

His research interests in finance include capital structure, mutual funds, corporate valuation, experimental economics, asset pricing, and labor economics. Professor Berk has won a number of research awards including the Smith Breeden Prize, Best Paper of the Year in The Review of Financial Studies, the TIAA-CREF Paul A. Samuelson Award, and the FAME Research Prize. Jon served as Associate Editor of the Journal of Finance, Academic Director of the Financial Management Association, Director of the Western Finance Association, and he is a Fellow of the Financial Management Association.

Peter DeMarzo

Peter DeMarzo

Dr. Peter M. DeMarzo is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He is also the Mizuho Financial Group Professor of Finance and current Vice President of the American Finance Association. Dr. DeMarzo currently teaches Ph.D. and MBA courses in Corporate Finance and Financial Modeling. In addition to his experience at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, heo has taught at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and the Haas School of Business, and he was a National Fellow at the Hoover Institution.

Peter got a Earl F. Cheit Outstanding Teaching Award at U.C. Berkeley and Sloan Teaching Excellence Award at Stanford.
