Eduardo Mercado

Eduardo Mercado

Dr. Eduardo Mercado is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University at Buffalo, New York. His research focuses on how different brain systems interact to develop representations of experienced events, and how these representations change over time. Ed currently uses techniques from computational neuroscience, electrical engineering, experimental psychology, and behavioral neuroscience to explore questions about auditory learning and memory in rodents, cetaceans, and humans.

Mark A. Gluck

Mark A. Gluck

Dr. Mark A. Gluck is a co-director of the Memory Disorders Project at Rutgers Newark, a Professor of Neuroscience at Rutgers University Newark, and publisher of the project's public health newsletter, Memory Loss and the Brain. His research focuses on the neural bases of learning and memory, and the consequences of memory loss due to trauma, aging, and disease. He is also the co-author of Gateway to Memory: An Introduction to Neural Network Modeling of the Hippocampus and Learning.

With fascinating applications, real-world examples, and clear explanations, this innovative textbook helps uninitiated students comprehend the basic ideas and human influence of groundbreaking learning and memory research. Its exclusive organization into three sections — Brain Substrates, Behavioral Processes, and Clinical Perspectives — allows college students to make links across chapters while giving instructors the flexibility to allocate the material that matches the course.

Learning and Memory, 4th Edition, (PDF) offers the ebook’s signature inclusion of human and non-human studies and full-color design and images. You’ll find even more significant real-life examples; an expanded discussion of the role of genetics in producing individual differences; new coverage of learning and memory research and brain-imaging; new material on the role of sleep in memory, and more.

NOTE: The product only includes the ebook Learning and Memory: From Brain to Behavior 4th Edition in the original AZW3. A converted PDF is also included. The converted PDF will not match the physical book in formatting and page numbers. No access codes are included.
